Rio Chama/San Juan Regional Conservation Partnership Program

Through a partner effort, East Rio Arriba Soil and Water Conservation District was able to secure 3.25 million dollars in funding for conservation practices along the Rio San Juan and Rio Chama. This is a collaborative project to implement on-the-ground conservation practices on forest, range, and irrigated lands across a large region of northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, including the Alliance region.

This mastication project was completed in the East Rio Arriba SWCD, in the bosque along the Rio Chama River. The project was completed by Boss Reclamation. The project was funded the Rio Chama/San Juan Regional Conservation Partnership Program (Rio Chama/San Juan RCPP) and the New Mexico Water Trust Board. The video was shot by Grandventure Media.
